2010 Season: Finger Lakes Regional @ RIT Gordon Field House

Involving Team 2228Team 2228 Cougar Tech is currently participating in the Finger Lakes Regional at RIT’s Gordon Field House. Match Times will be posted on hflrobotics.com as they become available. There will be pictures uploaded to the website, throughout the day, Thursday Friday and Saturday, these can be found in the media section of the site under the 2010 Season or by clicking here. The Matches can also be viewed live online via web cast at http://www.rit.edu/sg/first/webcast/ on Friday and Saturday only.

2010 Season: 2010 Game Breakaway

Summary:

Two alliances of three teams each compete
on a 27' x 54' field with bumps
attempting to earn points by collecting
soccer balls in their goals. Additional
bonus points are earned for each robot
not touching the field at the end of the
match.
Robots:
• Dimensions at start of game 28" x 38"
x 60"
• Max. dimensions during last 20 seconds
of game not to exceed 7' in diameter or
90" in height.
•Weight not to exceed 120 lbs., excluding
batteries and bumpers.
Game Play Rules:
• Robots may not possess more than one
ball at a time, but they may herd and
kick multiple balls at a time. Balls must
remain in contact with the floor while in
robot’s possession.
• Alliances must return scored balls to the
field quickly.
• Only one robot at a time is permitted to
play defense in front of the opponent’s
goals.
PLAY:
Autonomous 15 seconds Robots attempt to score soccer balls
Teleoperated 2 minutes* Humans help robots to score soccer balls
Finale* Final 20 seconds Robots attempt to hang above the field
SCORING:
Ball in goal ............................................1 point
Robot hanging on tower ......................2 points
Robot hanging from another robot ......3 points

Our Robot Delta:
- Can gather and release balls efficiently
- Can hold up to 40 balls 
- Has a shooter with a range of 0 to 15 ft 
- The shooter can shoot balls accurately up to 8 ft 
- Our human player is 94% accurate

2009 Season: 2009 FRC GAME LUNACY!!!

Involving Team 2228Lunacy is a game played on a field known as the CRATER (illustrated in the figure below).  Two  ALLIANCES, one red and one blue, composed of three FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) teams  each, compete in each MATCH.  The object of the game is to attain a higher score than your  opponent by placing the GAME PIECES in the TRAILERS hitched to the opposing ALLIANCE’S  ROBOTS.
